RESULTS OF SEMI FINAL MATCHES

Kumasi Anglican Senior High School this afternoon made mince meat of T. I. Amass Kumasi by defeating them 2:0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in the ongoing Ashanti Regional inter-schools soccer competition organised by the Schools and colleges Sports Federation of the Ashanti Region.
It was total domination from the Asem based school who were not troubled on the afternoon by rivals Amass. KASS maintained their hold on the game right from the start and looked prepared physically and mentally prepared com
A red to Amass who looked disjointed with no pattern of play. There were individual brilliance from Amass though but they failed to gel as a unit allowing a free day for KASS who scored two goals, one in each half to book a ticket to the final of the competition scheduled for Tuesday.
In the second game of the day which was the last semi final match, Opoku Ware School disappointingly failed to beat a resolute Islamic side who were more hungrier and eager to make a historic trip to the final. Islamic overcame OWASS by a lone goal score through the penalty spot after an infringement in the eighteen yard box. OWASS failed in their bid to equalise and looked vulnerable in defence but Islamic Senior High School failed to capitalise on that. In the end, Islamic held on to their lone goal lead to set up a their first ever finals with Kumasi Anglican Senior High tomorrow.

KOSS WITHDRAWS FROM MILO GAMES

Konongo

odumase senior high school has pulled out of the ongoing Ashanti Regional inter-schools soccer competition paving way for the entry of Kumasi High School.
KOSS has decided to pull out following the closure of the scbool by authorities as a result of students agitations that led to a demonstration last week Friday.
KOSS were billed to play Simms Commercial tomorrow in what would have been an interesting match but authorities communicated to the organisers their decision to pull out as most of their players were in the house.
The search for a replacement fell on Nyinahin Catholic SHS who were second in the group but they declined to accept the offer paving way for the best second placed side which automatically fell on High School who amassed 7 points in their group but failed go qualify ahead of Adanwomasi shs.
Kumasi High School will thus play Simms Commercial tomorrow in the ongoing inter schools soccer competition.

ANALYSIS AND PREDICTIONS OF MATCH DAY ONE OF MILO GAMES

There will be fireworks on Monday the 28 th of November at the Baba Yara Stadium when twelve schools battle it out on day one of the finals of the Ashanti Regional Inter-Schoools Soccer Competition.
The most competitive regional soccer competition in the whole country will once again be closely monitored by football enthusiasts as Obuasi SECTECH begin the defense of the title they won last year under the tutelage of Coach Bashir Hayford and Mambo who are P.E. Tutors of the Obuasi based school and double as Coaches for premier league side Ashantigold but they will face stiff opposition from some of the best sides in soccer in the shape of Adu Gyamfi SHS, T.I. Amass-Ksi, KASS, OKESS and a host of others.
RaphSark analyses day one matches with a bold prediction on how the matches will likely pun out.
1 st MATCH ADVENTIST VS ST. GEORGES
The Opening match of the competition will not look exciting on paper but in actual fat looks the most unpredictable on the day. Debutants ST. Georges will be hoping to surprise Adventist in the opening hours of day one but may find experience quite elusive. The lack of exposure may affect ST. Georges as they play for the first time at Baba Yara Stadium though the Assistant Headmaster Mr. Pepprah formerly of Kumasi High school is an experienced P.E. Tutor, it may not be enough to get them the results over highly experienced Adventist SHS. Though Toase SHS were unable to win their protest against St. Georges will perhaps try not to open themselves out for any possible protest after the game.
RAPHSARK predicts a narrow victory for Bantama based Adventist SHS.
Adventist 2:1 St. Georges
2 ND MATCH KASS VS TWENEBOA KODUA SHS
One of the most exciting matches on the day will see one of the favourites KASS take on Tweneboa Kodua SHS in the 2 nd match of the day. KASS suffered a scare before securing qualification under the tutelage of Coach Patoo but a highly charged Tweneboa Kodua side that managed to kick out last year semi-finalist KNUST SHS will prove difficult to handle.
KASS has shown a lot more consistency in the tournament but always flatter to deceive having come so close yet so far. TKSS were not so convincing in their qualifying matches with very disjointed midfield and blunt attack contrary to KASS who looked very sharp and cohesive in their play.
RaphSark Predicts victory for KASS against. KASS 3:1 TKSS
3 RD MATCH ADU GYAMFI SHS VS NEW EDUBIASE SHS
Four times Champions Adu Gyamfi SHS will come up against a tricky opponent New Edubiase SHS in the 3 rd match of the day. Jamasi based Adu Gyamfi SHS is arguably the best soccer school for the last decade in the region having reached 5 finals, 6 semi-finals and winning 4 times in the last eight years. ADGASS are yet to lose in open play since losing 2:0 to Prempeh College last three years. They are expected to entertain fans at the stadium with their beautiful inter-positional play and potent attack having scored six goals in the qualifiers without conceding. New Edubiase will not be easy though but the experience of ADGASS will get them through.
RAPHSARK Predicts 2:0 victory for Adu Gyamfi SHS.
4 TH MATCH OSEI TUTU-AKROPONG VS BAREKESE
This will be a repeat of last two years match when O.T. managed a narrow victory over Barekese SHS at the Baba Yara Stadium. This match promises a lot of excitement as these two rivals battle it out to determine who moves to the round of 16. OT qualified with 7 points having beating Kofi Agyei SHTS and others while Barekese did not win a single match on the pitch managing just a point but qualified after wining two different protests. The Barekese side showed a lot more quality than the results the chalked. They were beautiful to watch with good passing game but lacked sharpness upfront. Coach Apino will do well to recall his best players who were omitted from the qualifiers for not turning up in school prior to the qualifiers. If those players are recalled then OT will have a match on their hands. The departure of Coach Micheal Opoku back to Adu Gyamfi SHS will leave Apino and Hamza joining forces against OT who are also counting the loss of their two P.E. Tutors Owusu and Fred who are with OWASS and the Atwima Districts respectively.
The Akropong based school looked solid with a lot of energy in the qualifiers and will hope to build on that to overcome Barekese SHS. The best goalkeeper in the qualifiers was from OT and wont be bothered if the match travels to shootouts.
RAPHSARK predicts penalty shootout win for OT after a draw.
5 TH MATCH OBUASI SECTEC VS AKROFUOM
Defending Champions Obuasi SECETC will begin their quest to defend the trophy they won last year with with a relatively easy fixture against Akrofuom SECTEC.
O’SECTEC will not struggle to overcome an inexperienced Akrofuom side who are making an appearance after some absence. The tactical prowess of Bashir Hayford and Mambo should be enough to ward off any threats from Akrofuom. Though O’SECTEC qualified through protest having lost to Bankoman who fielded some players from the national U-17 side Black Starlets, the experienced Obuasi side will not sweat to overcome Akrofuom. Beautiful football from O’SECETC will be met with aggressive play from Akrofuom but in the end O’SECTEC will triumph.
RAPHSARK predicts a victory for O’SECTEC. O’SECTEC 2:0 AKrofuom
6 th MATCH SAKAFIA VS KTI/FOMENA AMASS
Sakafia will be waiting patiently for their opponent in the last match after the protest of KTI was adjourned to Monday for a final determination. SAKAFIA was a surprise package having qualified against Agona SECTEC and Konadu Yiadom. KTI were beaten by Fomena Amass but lodged a protest which was adjourned to Monday. The Canadian will be at the stadium as they wait for a decision together with Fomena.
Whichever side that emerges from the protest will not have it easy against Sakafia but the inexperience of Sakafia may rob them of victory. The Asokore Mampong based Sakafia are qualifying for the first time and will look dangerous if they can look clean devoid of any potential protest.
RAPHSARK Predicts elimination of SAKAFIA to KTI/Fomena.
Stay tuned for all updates from the games.

OUTCOME OF PROTEST CASES

OUTCOME OF PROTEST CASES
Fourteen cases were dealt
The following were the outcomes at the end of the legal gymnastics today at the Regional education directorate.
CASE 1
Obuasi sectec won their protest against Bankoman shs who made it easy by admitting guilt and apologising consequently the Obuasi based school were awarded 3 point and three goals to secure qualification.
Case 2
Osei Tutu II College were declared winners in their protest against Kenyasi SDA shs for fielding unqualified player.
Case 3
New Edubiase shs were awarded 3 points three goals to secure qualification after winning their protest against Patransra shs.
Case 4
Sakafia shs will this year play in the last 32 after Agona sectec lost their protest against them failing to prove the ineligility of the Sakafia player.
Case 5
The case involving Achinakrom SHS and Collins Commercial has been Adjourned to 28th November 2016 after both schools failed to provide the needed documentations to back their claims. Achina SHS is protesting against the legibility of one player of Collins Commercial and both schools are expected to appear on Monday for a final determination.
Case 6
Dwabena Akenten this afternoon failed to prove their case against Akrofuom SHS after they failed to submit enough evidence to back their case. Subsequently Dwabena Akenten was declared losers and fined five-hundred Ghana cedis.
Case 7
Prior to this case Toases SHS was confident to win this protest against St.George’s as they felt they had a solid case but after a thorough interrogation it came to bare that it was only an omission of name St.George’s committed. The said player of St George’s SHS with a conflicting name of Alex and Alexander and the omission of Nketia was not enough to justify the case of TOASE SHS as the authenticity of the said player was not in doubt. Consequently, TOASE SHS was declared losers and fined five-hundred Ghana Cedis.
Case 8
Barekese was the biggest winners today as they won all their two cases against CODTECH and Krobea Asante after they proved the ineligibility of these two schools and although they failed to win a single match in their group they have thus qualified after winning two straight protests.
Case 9
The most anticipated protest case was that of Kumasi High School against Adanwomasi shs where they were seeking to overturn the qualification of Adanwomasi by proving the ineligibility of their player.
After back and forth on the player it came to fore that it was a typo error that opened the door for the protest but High School disagreed and indicated that they suspected foul player regarding the authenticity of the certificate of the player. High school were subsequently given a grace period of up to Monday to prove their case.
Case 10
Kumasi Technical Institute are on the blink of being declared winners of their case against T.I. Amass, Fomena but will need to add some more documentary proof to buttress their case on Monday as the case was adjourned to Monday.
Case 11
Asare Bediako were close to doing a Barekese style after protesting against two schools but they were just a whisker away after winning their first case against Tepa SHS but unable to win against St. Michaels. Therefore Asare Bediako shs were unable to qualify.
with by the disciplinary committee of the Ashanti Regional Schools and colleges Sports Federation as the Federation bids to commence this year’s inter schools soccer competition. There were contrasting fortunes for the schools as the outcomes of the protest were received with joy by others while others left the protest room angered.

Paa Kwesi Fabian Gives O'SEC TECH HOPE

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian Gives O’SECTECH Hope In Their Protest Against Bankoman SHS
The National U-17 Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian was very instrumental in giving Obuasi SECTEC a glimpse of hope in overturning their defeat to Bankoman and overturn the qualification of Bankoman SHS after he spotted one of his Black Starlets players featuring for Bankoman with a different identity in the ongoing Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools Soccer Competitions.
The Coach was at the Prempeh College venue as part of his scouting expedition when he shockingly spotted his player (name withheld) featuring for Bankoman SHS.
The said player aided Bankoman SHS to beat O’SECTEC 2:0 which secured them the ticket for the last round of 32 but that qualification stands to be tested in the protest room.
The Coach was reported to have accosted his player over why he was featuring for them when he obviously was not a student of the school. In response th player indicated that he went to Banko to visit his sick mum when Bankoman asked him to join them to play the qualifiers. A closer examination revealed that Bankoman had obviously used a different identity for his as he engineered their qualification to the surprise of Obuasi SECTEC the defending Champions.
However, O’SECTECH will have to prove beyond every reasonable doubt that player was not qualified to player when they appear before the committee.
The visibly shaken Starlets player then openly admitted that he was asked to play by Bankoman which obviously by implication means that Obuasi SECTEC already have a solid case though the case will be called by the Protest Committee in the coming week.
Obuasi SECTEC will be very grateful to Paa Kwesi Fabian if they do win this case to have an opportunity of defending the trophy they won last year.
The Protest Committee will have a lot on their hands as there are many pending cases before it when the qualifiers closes by Tuesday the 22 nd of November, 2017.
