RESULTS OF SEMI FINAL MATCHES

Kumasi Anglican Senior High School this afternoon made mince meat of T. I. Amass Kumasi by defeating them 2:0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in the ongoing Ashanti Regional inter-schools soccer competition organised by the Schools and colleges Sports Federation of the Ashanti Region.
It was total domination from the Asem based school who were not troubled on the afternoon by rivals Amass. KASS maintained their hold on the game right from the start and looked prepared physically and mentally prepared com
A red to Amass who looked disjointed with no pattern of play. There were individual brilliance from Amass though but they failed to gel as a unit allowing a free day for KASS who scored two goals, one in each half to book a ticket to the final of the competition scheduled for Tuesday.
In the second game of the day which was the last semi final match, Opoku Ware School disappointingly failed to beat a resolute Islamic side who were more hungrier and eager to make a historic trip to the final. Islamic overcame OWASS by a lone goal score through the penalty spot after an infringement in the eighteen yard box. OWASS failed in their bid to equalise and looked vulnerable in defence but Islamic Senior High School failed to capitalise on that. In the end, Islamic held on to their lone goal lead to set up a their first ever finals with Kumasi Anglican Senior High tomorrow.
