! SEVEN SCHOOLS THROUGH TO BABA YARA STADIUM
Seven schools confirmed their participation in the last round of 32 in the ongoing Ashanti Regional Inter-schools and Colleges Soccer Competitions at the various qualifying centers for Match day-3.
There were huge upsets in some of the venues with threats of protestations.
The following Seven Schools grabbed their tickets to be part of the last 32 at the Baba Yara Stadium barring adjudication of protest cases.

Jachie Pramso SHS
Simms Commercial
Osei Kyeretwie SHS
Nkawie SHS
Kumasi High School has given the clearest indication that they will protest against Adanwomasi SHS.

DAY 2 CASUALTIES; O’SECTECH, BAREKESE, DWAMENA AKENTEN, ASTEC KICKED OUT!

It was a memorable day of soccer action at the seven qualifying venues when battles were fought by schools in their quest to grab a ticket to the round of 32 in the ongoing inter-schools colleges soccer competition of the Ashanti Region under the auspices of the Inter-schools and Colleges Sports Federation of the Ghana Education Service.
Seven schools have confirmed their participation in the last stage of the ongoing Ashanti Regional inter-schools soccer competition after day two of the qualifiers which came off today at various centers.
Barring all protestations and agitations, these schools will be part of the last round 32. However qualification did not come on a silver platter after these schools managed to secure qualification against all odds.
There were huge upsets and shocking results in day two of the qualifiers as defending champions O’SECTECH succumbed to Bankoman SHS at Prempeh College though the Obuasi based school claims to have a solid protest to overturn their results.
Asanteman qualified at KNUST grounds. Sakafia SHS qualified at KUMACA whiles Bankoman qualified at Prempeh College. Ejisuman qualified at KASS. Akrofuom qualified at KUGISS.
Barekese SHS also failed to qualify to the last round of the competition after failing succumbing to CODTECH at Armed Forces.

The Regional Sports Federation of the Ashanti Regional Education Directorate has released their programme of activity for the academic year. The calendar of activity spells out the various sporting activities and when they will be staged or held together with the venues for the respective programmes.

Prominent on the schedule is the Boys Soccer Competition which set to kick off on the 16th of November, 2016 with the Preliminary round with the main final competition set for the 28th of November to the 6th of December, 2016 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Elimination round of the Basketball Competition will be staged on the 1st of November with the final competition set for the 11th of November, 2016 at Opoku Ware School.
