The baba yara Stadium came to a standstill on Thursday and Friday as schools from zone four thrilled fans in Ashanti regional inter schools and colleges atletics competition dubbed INTERCO.
Eight times super zonals champions T. I Amass Kumasi had an easy ride in winning both the boys and girls divisions and has also booked a place in the super ZONALS to defend the title they won last year.
Islamic senior high School emerged as runners up in both boys and girls with Amaniampong, TOASE and others making it to the super zonals.
New EDUBIASE SHS, Ghana National Academy who made it to last Years super zonals were given the shock of the lives as they failed to make it to these years super zonals which is scheduled for the 23rd and 24th of this month.

ZONE FOUR TO COMMENCE INTERCO ON THURSDAY
The annual Ashanti Regional Inter schools and Colleges atletics competition dubbed INTERCO will bounce back on Thursday with 25 exciting schools thrilling fans at the baba yara Stadium.
The annual showdown will see senior high schools from the region compete with each other in five different zones for a chance to qualify for super ZONALS which is slated for the 23rd and 24th February at the baba yara Stadium.
Schools in zone four will commence the annual showdown on Thursday 2nd and 3rd with schools in zones 5,1,2 & 3 following suit in the coming days.
The best six schools in boys and girls division will get a chance to compete in this year's SUPER ZONALS. Below are the schools that will appear on Thursday and Friday.

All the senior high schools in region have been grouped into five different zones.
Schools in zone four will kick-start the showpiece on the 2nd and 3rd with zone 5,zone1,zone2 and zone3 following suit on the 6th and 7th, 9th and 10th, 13th and 14th, 16th and 17th respectively.
The best six schools in each zone qualifiers for the SUPER ZONALS which will be held on the 23rd and 24th at the same venue.
