Paa Kwesi Fabian Gives O'SEC TECH HOPE
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian Gives O’SECTECH Hope In Their Protest Against Bankoman SHS
The National U-17 Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian was very instrumental in giving Obuasi SECTEC a glimpse of hope in overturning their defeat to Bankoman and overturn the qualification of Bankoman SHS after he spotted one of his Black Starlets players featuring for Bankoman with a different identity in the ongoing Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools Soccer Competitions.
The Coach was at the Prempeh College venue as part of his scouting expedition when he shockingly spotted his player (name withheld) featuring for Bankoman SHS.
The said player aided Bankoman SHS to beat O’SECTEC 2:0 which secured them the ticket for the last round of 32 but that qualification stands to be tested in the protest room.
The Coach was reported to have accosted his player over why he was featuring for them when he obviously was not a student of the school. In response th player indicated that he went to Banko to visit his sick mum when Bankoman asked him to join them to play the qualifiers. A closer examination revealed that Bankoman had obviously used a different identity for his as he engineered their qualification to the surprise of Obuasi SECTEC the defending Champions.
However, O’SECTECH will have to prove beyond every reasonable doubt that player was not qualified to player when they appear before the committee.
The visibly shaken Starlets player then openly admitted that he was asked to play by Bankoman which obviously by implication means that Obuasi SECTEC already have a solid case though the case will be called by the Protest Committee in the coming week.
Obuasi SECTEC will be very grateful to Paa Kwesi Fabian if they do win this case to have an opportunity of defending the trophy they won last year.
The Protest Committee will have a lot on their hands as there are many pending cases before it when the qualifiers closes by Tuesday the 22 nd of November, 2017.
