Five Schools Secure Qualification On the Last Day of Qualifier
The last five schools confirmed their participation in the last round of 32 in the ongoing Ashanti Regional Inter-schools and Colleges Soccer Competitions at the various qualifying centers for Match day-5 which ended the round of qualifying matches.
There were huge upsets in some of the venues with threats of protestations.
The following FIVE Schools grabbed their tickets to be part of the last 32 at the Baba Yara Stadium barring adjudication of protest cases.
Adu Gyamfi SHS
T. I. Amass, Fomena
Michael’s SHS
Nsutaman SHS
Konongo Odumasi SHS
However the last day was a day full of agitations and protestations as KTI were bundled out of the competition by Fomena Amass but that will not go without a protest.
Tepa SHS failed to qualify after losing on some controversial technicality due to two penalty victories and a straight win by St. Michael’s. However in a a hollywood fashion, all three schools are lodging protest against each other.
Adu Gyamfi SHS qualified by winning all matches but faces a protest from Mankranso SHS who are hoping to snatch qualification ticket from the boardroom. The protest infuriated Adu Gyamfi who also lodged a counter protest against the losing side with the hope of teaching them a lesson on football technicalities.
