There will be a lot of fireworks as the super zonals is set to hit the baba yara stadium
Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) who qualified to the super zonals have withdrawn from the competition after their students were brutalized by policemen and Simms senior high who placed 7th in the zone have called to fill the void Left by KTI.
Obuasi sec tech and KSTS Will participate in the super zonals but without their students coming into the stadium to Cheer them after some students of these schools destroyed seats at the stadium during the INTERCO.
KOFI AGYEI SENIOR HIGH have been included in the boys category because their protest against st.Hubert couldn't be ruled due to a time frame.Serwaa Nyarko Girls have also been added to the girls division because their protest against Nyinahin Catholic couldn't be dealt with.

O'SEC TECH ,ADUMAN WINS ZONE THREE
Obuasi sec tech emerged victorious of zone three in the boys division after two days of brilliant performances to draw the curtains down on the Ashanti regional inter schools and colleges athletics competition.
O'sec tech booked their ticket to the super zonals alongside Effisco,Aduman,Tepa,st.Hubert and Adu Gyamfi making the final cut.
In the girls division Aduman were able to defend the trophy they won last year with o'sec tech ,Tepa ,Effisco,Ti Amass Girls asokore and st.Monica's making final cut for the super zonals.
There were some casualties as Bekwai SDA failed to qualify in both the boys and girls division and ADU Gyamfi also failing to qualify in the girls division.

OKESS ,K'WEY GEY HEY WINS ZONE TWO OF INTERCO
After two days of fantastic performances from schools from zone two of the ongoing inter schools and colleges athletics competition Osei Kyeretwie senior high school emerged champions in the boys division whiles Kumasi Wesley Girls Senior High school won the girls division.
Okess amassed a total of 132 points in the boys division with mpasatia placing 2nd with a total 108.5 points and Knust Shs third with 98 points.
In the girls division K'Wey Gey Hey had a total points of 233 points and were followed by Okess and Knust Shs with points of 129 and 76 respectively.
Abdul Razak of Kwesi Oppong won the boys 200m,400m,4*400m and placed 2nd in the 100m.ELIZABETH ARKO of K wey gey hey won gold in both the girls high jump and triple jump competition whiles Augustine Sambo of Akumadan Shs won the boys 5000m,1600 medley and placed 2nd in the 800m.
Simms Senior high school were adjudged the best behaved school of the zone and were followed by Knust Shs and Nyinahin Catholic Shs in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

OWASS BEAT JAPASS,KOSS AND OTHERS TO CLINCH VICTORY IN ZONE ONE
Opoku ware School produced a last minute electrifying performance to overcome competition from jachie pramso senior high school to place first in zone one of the ongoing Ashanti regional inter schools and colleges atletics competition.
Opoku ware amassed a total of 158 points while Mighty Japass had 145 points with Bonwire picking the third spot with 80 points in the boys category.
In the girls category, Japass amassed 166 points to clinch the first spot with Konongo odumase and st. Louis following suit with a total of 155 and 135 points respectively.
Below are the best six schools that have made it to the super zonals on 23rd and 24th of this month.

OWASS, JAPASS TO STORM INTERCO TOMORROW
The Ashanti regional inter schools and colleges atletics competition will continue tomorrow at the baba yara Stadium with schools from zone 1 for a chance to pick one of the six qualifying spots for the super zonals.
A place for the first position will be fiercely contested by Opoku ware School, jachie pramso senior high school and Kumasi senior high technical school whiles in the women category it is a straight fight between st. Louis and jachie pramso.

PREMPEH, KUMASI GIRLS OTHERS THROUGH TO THE SUPER ZONALS
The Ashanti regional inter schools and colleges atletics competition dubbed INTERCO continued on Monday and Tuesday at the baba yara Stadium with schools from zone five taking their turn .
Prempeh College and Kumasi Girls won the zone in the boys and girls division respectively with Kumasi Anglican senior high school and Armed Forces senior high technical
school making it to the super zonals in both male and female categories.
Ghana's fastest human in U18 male Samuel Asare Kwabi led his school to victory in the 100m, 200m, 4*100m and 4*200m.
Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High school emerged as the best behaved school whiles Juaben SHS and Asanteman SHS in 2nd &3rd respectively.
Tweneboah Koduah SHS narrowly missed the missed the Super zonals after placing 7th in both the male and female categories.

T. I AMASS OTHERS THROUGH TO THE SUPER ZONALS
The baba yara Stadium came to a standstill on Thursday and Friday as schools from zone four thrilled fans in Ashanti regional inter schools and colleges atletics competition dubbed INTERCO.
Eight times super zonals champions T. I Amass Kumasi had an easy ride in winning both the boys and girls divisions and has also booked a place in the super ZONALS to defend the title they won last year.
Islamic senior high School emerged as runners up in both boys and girls with Amaniampong, TOASE and others making it to the super zonals.
New EDUBIASE SHS, Ghana National Academy who made it to last Years super zonals were given the shock of the lives as they failed to make it to these years super zonals which is scheduled for the 23rd and 24th of this month.
